    Spa diary: The Magical of Moor Mud Body Wrap

    Monday usually means hustling with the traffic jam, and long hours meeting. After all that Monday madness most of us do not get enough time to relax and unwind. Spa treatment after office will definitely boost up your energy and helps you to feel fresher for next tough day.

    My first visit to Le Spa in Le Méridien Hotel, Jakarta was a great happy ending for my Monday. Especially (now) in Ramadan, it’s just perfect to go for a treatment while waiting for the time to break the fast.

    => Arrived…

    Friendly reception and therapist greeted me with a warm smile once I stepped in the reception area. After discussed about the treatment from the menu the therapist quickly escorted me to a staircase leading to the treatment room.

    => The Treatment Room…

    With a modern design, simple, and modern. The room offers a relaxing, and comfortable escape from the “work mode”.

    => The Treatment…

    My treatment is a Moor Mud Body Wrap.

    Moor mud is an organic peat substance formed by the decomposition of a variety of plants over a very long period of time. It is a black paste that dissolves easily in water and has a high concentration of amino acids, minerals, plant hormones and vitamins. This mud has been valued for its beautifying and therapeutic properties from ancient times to the present day.

    Moor mud is very popular in skin care, and the content easy for the human skin to absorb. It cleanses skin of impurities, detoxifies, helps to improve circulation and makes skin look and feel rejuvenated.

    This creamy aromatic moor deeply relaxing and promotes healing alleviating fatigue, relieves stiff joints, soothes away aches, and pains. It also detoxifies the skin while sealing in moisture to soften the skin. Perfect!!

    => Here We Go…

    Tini my therapist started the treatment. She started with washing my feet in a warm water (with pretty flowers in it), and scrubbing my body thoroughly with Silky Skin Body Scrub to exfoliate the dead skin cells. I like the soothing smell, and it is mild enough for all skin types.

    After that Tini start to applied the moor mud. I swear in all treatments I tried, I will be successfully slept in 10 minutes. Struggle to stay awake because this was my first body wrap experience, so I really want to be able to remember the experience.

    My body totally covered with the moor mud that means time to wrap. She wrapped my body with plastic sheet (I imagine myself look like a rice cake), and a blanket. It is important to stay warm because warmth enables you to sweat, which aids in expelling toxins. Tini also gave me a good scalp massage.

    After 20 minutes it’s time to have shower to clean the moor mud. When the water rinsed off the moor mud, my skin feel so soft, amazing!

    Done… Towel-dry my body, now this is the part that I am waiting for. Body massage! Ooh I love body massage. Tini started massaging my body with Micro Emulsion Massage Oil. This delightfully aromatic anti-stress oil reduces tension and fatigue as it easily glides onto your skin. Now I know this is the right time to fall asleep.

    => Finish…

    Still with a bath rope and the slippers I sipped my warm ginger tea, and enjoying the view outside. Felt so relax and fresh, I am happy that I can have this treatment.

    Thank you Pevonia and Le Spa…

    Body wraps are great for the skin and body. I have experienced many health benefits from using body wraps and even like to make them at home. I found a couple good recipes and tons of information on http://www.bodywrapguide.com/ .
